In less than 8 minutes, you’ll learn about the average mean wave and average move band—how to distinguish between them and use them to your advantage. Scroll for quick notes and a step-by-step reading path.
1. First Principles
Average Mean Wave (AMW): a blue parabola that shows how far price normally travels from a reversion before stalling.
Average Move Band (AMB): a gradient band that shows how far price normally travels from the pivot.
2. What is it?
When you enable AMW, the Fractal plots a blue arc that begins at the most recent reversion point and peaks at the average historical distance of past cycles - BUT, its forward-looking. Similarly, the average move band calculates the average move from the pivot.
